City of Oxford College

Oxpens Road, Oxford OX1 1SA, UK – 01865 550550

Excellent centre for opportunity and learning! I finished my Access to Science HE course in 2015 with a overall distinction thanks to Allison and Christine who are wonderful leaders/teachers. Make sure to visit on one of the open days before joining the college to make sure it is right for you, pick up a prospectus and ask as many questions as possible.

Very nice college. I spent my best time here years ago. Would recommend this nice institution.

Oxford School of Massage

25 Parker St, Oxford OX4 1TD, UK – 07714 464577

This is a wonderful course through which you learn the correct techniques for giving a fantastic whole body massage, which can be adapted and modified for all types of needs. The course is unique in that it really emphasises the importance of self care, teaching correct posture and positioning to avoid any issues with back pain etc which can cause such problems for the massage therapist over time. The course also covers anatomy and physiology, first aid in the workplace and business skills, thus providing you with the perfect basis for starting out as a therapist on qualifying. The course is delivered in small, friendly groups by enthusiastic teachers with plenty of experience, and it really is a lot of fun as well as immensely rewarding. It's hard work too, and it's vital to keep on top of the coursework, but the tutors are always available to help if needed. I highly recommend this course - I've met some great people and gained a qualification which I'm really proud of!

Due to the small groups I found that it was a great way to learn. The tutor always on hand for random questions about homework and case studies. As a dyslexic this was a great course with lots of practical elements. Time management is so important throughout this course as the case studies and assignments are a huge part of it.

Oxford Chelt Wine School

7 S Parade, Oxford OX2 7JL, UK – 01865 238042

Fred came to do a blind wine tasting party for a hen do; it was his first hen do event but he did such a great job with the mixed aged group that we had (25-82), and everyone had a great time. Fred was very knowledgeable and as well as teaching us about the wines, taught everyone how to taste them properly. The wines we tasted were not expensive which was great, as if you liked one it would be readily available in the supermarket. Definitely recommend!

Informal and informative day - you will not notice the time fly by. Selection of wines gave a good mix and tips for when you are next at the supermarket. The icing on the cake - a fabulous lunch. Would certainly recommend this as a birthday or Christmas gift, and if driving through we will definitely stop at the Old Stocks Inn for the amazing food.

Activate Learning

Oxpens Rd, Oxford OX1 1SA, UK – 0800 612 6008

I started my learning at this location back when their name still were Oxford Cherwell Valley College(OCVC) and they were about to rebrand.I did 3 Years of Public Services including Level 2 and 2 Years of Level 3 Courses and I have never enjoyed learning more.We had many different possibilities to learn different topic and we were having a chance to experience them on our own without only studying them via textbooks. I would like to say Thank You to my Tutors at the time Phil,Michelle(Shell) and Gavin as well as any assistant teachers that helped me and my course colleagues. I would have rated 5 stars if only I wouldn't have experience so much mess ups in the last year of learning when after our Tutors left we were left to deal with majority of workload on our own and classes either have been canceld off or we have been sent to ''self study''

Gordon Ramsay went here. it's chill.

The Open University provides high-quality distance learning for people of all ages and educational backgrounds. The joy is that their courses not only can be completed at home but are modular and so make it possible to fit them around life's varying commitments! The OU also do research.

Generally it is quite extraordinary institution which many people thought would fail but actually has been an unqualified success since it was founded in 1969.
